Jelly and the Milk Jug

Travis told me that his dachshund liked to play with empty milk cartons. So here is Jelly playing with one of her very own. She really likes it, but it's a pretty noisy toy. As you can see, she's not hurting for toys...she's surrounded by them (including my slipper!).

Custom Sweater

Jelly's sweater got an adjustment tonight. She hasn't been wearing it since it's been warm, but the last few days have gotten cold. I just put it over her harness but problem....no place to attach her leash! Quick fix, cut a hole! Here's a picture of her sporting her updated sweater, er-blink. :-)
On another note, during her last walk, we ran into a red male dachshund and she got to play! Interesting, though, since she hasn't wanted to play with any of the four female dogs she's met. She may turn out to be quite the man's lady (or whatever the opposite of a lady's man is) hehe.

Door Witch

I put up my lone Halloween decoration today and then this witch flew right into my door!! Sorry, can't help my corny humor. Anyway, I like it. I got it at Target last month and have been waiting to put it up. The arms and legs are stuffed with newspaper. Personally, I think her broom looks like a tail, oh well.

More Food

More food. I made this banana/chocolate swirl bread a couple days ago. I really like it. It seems like I haven't been eating as many bananas as I buy and end up making lots of banana bread. On another food note, I made chicken spaghetti last night and it was pretty good. I had my doubts but it turned out yummy.

Cherry Cheesecake

I finally made Leslie her cheesecake for her birthday that was last month. We went home that weekend so I never got a chance to make it for her. I'm going over later to watch the Aggies BTHO Colorado so I'm going to take it then. It looks really good and I think it'll taste good too since I got to lick the bowl :).

It's A Girl!

Yay! Congratulations to me!! As of this weekend I'm a new mommy to a super cute miniature dachshund. I named her Jelly and has already acquired the nicknames JellyBean and JellyBelly. She's nine weeks old and only weighs 3lbs. She's a total crybaby, she always wants to be held and if she's not she'll cry, literally. Here she is fashioning a sock-sweater I cut out for her.
